My parents both passed a month apart and I had a really hard time with the grieving process but Jill was always a phone call away as she knew exactly what I was feeling. Jill helped me grieve the loss of my parents, she helped me clean, pack and so much more and I truly feel that her soft heart and kind words were sincere because if it wasnt for Jill, I would not have been able to face the truth about how sad I really was feeling. I also wanted her to help me with a purchase but because of her unfamiliarity with the Big Island, she referred me to a friend of hers. We were referred to Jill by our elder law attorney who he had used to sell his aunt's property. Our transaction was difficult for two reasons. First, my sister and I both live on the mainland so Jill had to handle the majority of the transaction via FaceTime, phone calls, texts, and email. In fact we were so impressed with how well prepared she was in our initial meeting, that my sister attended via FaceTime, that we listed with her immediately thereafter. We met with four other realtors prior to meeting with Jill. She is tech savvy so working with clients off-island is not an issue. Jill provided options on selling the house and gave us the pros and cons of fixing up the property prior to sell or selling as disclosed. She obtained quotes for services so that we could make the best decision, provided advice on how best to clear out the house, and kept us on track with our timeline. Jill made the process of buying our first home together so easy. We had the challenge of trying to close on a buyout of another property and the timing of that buyout was contingent on acquiring our new property. Jill went out of her way to help coordinate those efforts and we appreciated her diligence, positivity, and willingness to go out of her way to make things work in our favor. She was quick to coordinate all our meetings, home inspections, and stayed on top of all of our contract requirements for us so we didn't have to track anything. The process seems daunting but working with Jill made buying our home so easy and we loved her cheerfulness and good attitude throughout. She also helped us get the home at less than asking and justify a credit from the sellers which was not expected, especially with the current state of the market. Jill had to deal with dual owners of the property and there was a language barrier with one of the owners. She somehow managed to work thru this and also helped them remove items from the home and property. She helped them with the moving out process, which was a challenge, due to the owner had a hard time of disposing of any items. One day it would be ok to remove and the next day, the owner would say no. This went on for several weeks. The buyers agent was of very little help in the whole process. She was always asking to extend the deadlines on the contract. (This was a 60 day close transaction) Jill was very cordial in working with her and all the buyers requests. I'm sure not all agents would have the patience to deal with both the seller and buyer and the numerous items that came up for mutual agreement between the parties. I wasn't sure if this deal would ever close, but Jill made it happen. I will use Jill in any future transactions. She has my vote of confidence.
